Ali was born and raised in Victoria, BC, where she lives with her husband and their rescue dog, Lena. Ali is a high school art and psychology teacher. Through her work in public education, Ali has become a strong advocate for inclusive education and creating a safe space for diversity and growth. With over a decade of experience working in education, community art, yoga, and mindfulness, Ali brings a wide-ranging and empathetic approach to her counselling practice. She strives to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore their goals for therapy. Ali believes there is no one-size-fits-all model to healing. She works collaboratively with her clients, drawing on Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, as well as creative and mindful practices, to tailor the process to each person’s unique needs.

Ali is passionate about supporting adults, youth, and children through challenges with anxiety, depression, and stress. She also focuses on life transitions, identity exploration, self-compassion, and building stronger relationships and communication skills. Additionally, Ali has a specialty focus area working with individuals and couples navigating infertility, reproductive health challenges and family-building journeys. In this meaningful work, she brings deep compassion and a trauma-informed lens, along with lived experience and research expertise.
