Many people I work with find it difficult to be at peace and to live full, meaningful lives—let alone enjoy them. This is often because they feel overwhelmed by painful emotions, memories, and thoughts, or because they feel alone and stuck in unwanted emotions such as anger, fear, sadness, shame, or guilt.
Often, they have been let down by others and carry lingering feelings of hurt and resentment. They may be hard on themselves—judging, criticizing, and expecting rejection. They tell themselves things like, “I’m not good enough,” “I’m not lovable,” “my life is all wrong,” “it’s not supposed to be like this,” or “where do I go from here?” Sometimes, they even come to hate themselves and what their life has become.

Many have tried to “push it down” or “walk it off,” only to find that the unpleasant feelings continue to follow them. Some, new to therapy, worry that therapy won’t help—or might even make things worse. Others come to me with hope and expectations that a new approach will help issues lingering after years of therapy.
I am passionate about working with adults, young adults, and older adolescents (ages 16+).  I am available to provide ADHD/psychodiagnostics assessments (ages 18+).

My clinical experience includes working in a trauma clinic, an immigration clinic, a long-term care home, and private practice. I provide psychotherapy services to individuals experiencing anxiety, adjustment difficulties, depression, grief and loss, interpersonal challenges, life transitions, stress management concerns, and trauma.
In my practice, I strive to create a warm and safe space grounded in unconditional positive regard and authenticity, where clients can explore their struggles and deepest wounds. I aim to understand and meet each person’s unique needs. I am collaborative in that I respect the boundaries of my clients and bring a wealth of knowledge about effective therapeutic approaches that will be helpful, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, cognitive-processing therapy, emotion-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new cafés and restaurants. I am grateful for the mild weather and four seasons Victoria has to offer—you’ll often find me admiring flowers, hiking, walking along the waterfront, or visiting local beaches.
