A practice built on warmth & rigor, with roots in community.
Heartwood Family Wellness is a multi-associate, multi-disciplinary practice in Victoria, BC, built around the belief that rigorous, court-aware clinical work and genuine warmth aren't in tension. They're the same thing.

Katie is passionate about helping families build meaningful connections. She works to empower children and parents through mutual respect, empathy, and effective therapeutic practices, fostering a safe, secure space for families to share their hopes, challenges, and successes.
Katie is known for her skill in forging strong relationships and helping children develop a strong, confident voice. Her areas of strength include Narrative and Play Therapy, child advocacy, and parenting skills. As a Child Specialist and Divorce Coach within Victoria's Collaborative Family Separation Professionals (CFSP), Katie advocates for the best interests of children and helps parents divorce with collaboration and compassion.
Heartwood is a growing team of associate clinicians across our two Victoria locations, each bringing their own specialty within counselling and family transitions work.

Genuinely Warm
Our two Victoria locations are designed to feel like a home, not a clinic, because that's what good support should feel like.
Connected
We work as part of a wider network, alongside family lawyers, MCFD, schools, and community organizations, so families aren't navigating support alone.
